A new doctor I went to & still see (he's an MD but with a holistic approach) for my hypothyroid problem (which I've had for 12+ years) recommended this product. I've always had to have my thyroid meds regulated every 6-9 months because I would start to downslide & feel bad. I've been on the synthetic thyroid meds & the natural ones. This new doctor saw me at one of the medically lowest times in my life. I was really sick. Extreme fatigue, weight gain, horrific depression, very low body temp. He changed my thyroid med,upped the dose & combined it with Iodoral which I had never known about. No other doctor informed me that taking an Iodine supplement in conjunction with your thyroid med helps your thyroid function better. Well within a month I had lost weight, energy increased & the depression lifted. I take 2 Iodoral tabs a day, one in the a.m. & one in the p.m. with my thyroid meds per my doctor's orders. First let me say I received this product really quickly & the price was the most inexpensive around. I had initially purchased it at my doctor's office & it was more expensive there so I shopped online when I needed another bottle. As far as if it works, well I don't know for a solid fact that the Iodoral is what has helped but I do know that taken with my thyroid med I feel 75% better than I did. I have not had to have my med dose changed as often as I have in the 12 years I've battled thyroid problems so that's a big plus. I am dealing with candida issues which are affecting my health but I have successfully helped my thyroid function better, so one thing down & another to battle. I won't stop taking the Iodoral since my doctor strongly believes it is a necessity.

There are days that go by when I can barely think straight, walk and talk straigt due to a constant battle with candida overgrowth through out my body. Within 12 hours of an Iodoral pill, my symptoms go away and I feel like me again. I don't know where I'd be without this stuff, probably lying comatose in bed I'm guessing...but I'd rather not find out!

It took about 6 months, but by using Iodoral I was able to cut in half my use of Synthroid. Soon I'm going to try and double my dosage of Iodoral and get off Synthroid completely. It does work, but like I say, It takes a few months.

After suffering with memory loss from working in a toxic mold environment, and having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, it was startling to find out that someone had actually done some serious research into the connection between the missing trace elements of iodine and iodide. I can't believe how much better I feel, with actually having less "brain fog," and a lot more memory retention.I can never be without this supplement, it was so live changing.

I have been on this for about a month. I have had a few "detox" symptoms, which I had already read about and expected. This lets me know that something is changing for the better. I have also had clearer thinking, more motivation to do the things I know I need to do but felt paralyzed and couldn't muster up the drive to do them. I am up to two per day and going to three soon!
